Indian Stock Market - Morning Update (Thursday)

The global markets are looking healthy this morning, Dow is up 0.67%, Nasdaq is up 0.64%. Today morning Asian markets are also seen in the same mood, Nikkei is up 0.86%, SSE Index is up 2% and FTSE 100 is up 1.27%.
With these global ques we can expect a positive trend in Dalal street today, the Indian GDP growth number whic were released yesterday may pump some energy in to the markets.

Dalal street slips again, down 388 points

The Global markets were negative when Sensex opened today, and with the current bearish sentiment already ruling the market, Sensex started with negative note and continued the negative sentiment. At about 01:00 pm the Sensex saw a huge fall of 675 points due to heavy selling across the board. Later the Sensex started recovering and finally ended at day down -388 points at 10,398.

Dalalstreet recovers,up 341 points

The Global markets were negative when Sensex opened today, it saw some positive action at the early trading hours and gained about 119 points , Then index tumbled in to the negative zone and was at one point down -297 points, with some good buying interest at lower levels and investors who felt they missed the bull run got in and moved the Sensex up +341 points or +3.25% to close at 10,823.
BSE Metal Index was up 7.35% and BSE PSU was up 4.13%.

Black-Dark Monday on Dalal Street, Sensex & Nifty down by 10%

Lead with weak global markets , Sensex opened in a negative mood and soon started declining. There was selling all over the board, Sensex lots ground and went below 10,000 mark. Sensex was down 1,112 points or -10.16% and NSE was down 350 points when both BSE and NSE were forced to suspend trading, this was at 11:55.
The markets again opened at 12:55 and saw a bit of recovery and now trading at 10,308 and NSE is trading at 3,055 down -5%.
The FII's and Foreign funds have been actively selling.

Indian Stock Market - Evening Update (Tuesday)

The Global markets were negative when Sensex opened today, it saw some positive action at the early trading minutes and gained about 39 points, Then index tumbled to a low of 11,379 down 499 points at about 11:30 due to heavy profit booking. At this point few stocks took heavy beating.

Then slowly the indices started recovering with some buying support,went on to gain about 100 points and finally ended the day up 51 points or 0.44% at 11,873 points. Major gainers were Gujrat Ambuja 7.5%,Hindalco was up 3.15% and RIL was up 2%.BSE Oil&Gas was up 0.65% and BSE Metal was down -0.5%

Indian Stock Market - Evening Update (Monday)

Raising Crude Oil Prices,Raising in Interest rates and weak global markets pulled Indian Stocks down to one of the worst falls since 2004.It was literally a Free fall for Sensex which broke all support levels and finally closed the day down -3.77% or 462 points at 11,822.
Metal stocks took heavy beating, Metal Index was down by about -11%,Oil and Gas Index was down by -4.3%, Auto,FMCG and Cap Goods shed -4% each.

Indian Stock Market - Evening Update (Thursday)

Daily Indian Stock Market Update

Sensex opened in a good note and quickly added about 40 points and touched an all time high of 12,671, soon after this the markets started loosing grip and stumbled due to selling pressure. After losing about 140 points, it started recovering slowly in the intra-day trading , but could never fall in the green zone.
During the last hour of the trade, there was lot of profit booking seen and Sensex finally closed down -1.4% or 176 points at 12,435.
RPL listed at 100/- , it had good demand and volumes were high, it finally closed up 42% at 85, it touched an high of 105.
Reliance Industries also saw lot of selling today and lost about -5% to close at 1110.

MSCI raises India's weightage marginally — 13 new stocks included

MSCI, a leading provider of information on indices, has increased the weightage of India in its Emerging Markets Asia index marginally to 5.42 per cent from 5.41 per cent. In the India specific Index, MSCI has included 13 stocks and removed one.

MSCI has also made changes in its Standard Index series.

The MSCI India Index additions include Arvind Mills, Bharat Electronics, Bharat Forge, Biocon, Mahindra & Mahindra, Glenmark Pharma, Jet Airways, Nicholas Piramal, UTI Bank, Reliance Energy, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Jindal Steel and Power, and Matrix Labs.

Daily Indian Stock Market Update

It was a great trading day at Dalal Street, Sensex yet again closed at all time high and closed above 12,600. Since the opening of the day the markets have been positive and went on to touch an all time high of 12,624 and finally ended the day at 12,612 up +98 points or 0.79%.
Yet again ONGC and RIL fueled the Sensex to soar to new highs. BSE SmallCap gained 1.48% today and BSE BankEx gained 2.49%.

Indian Stock Market - Evening Post (Tuesday)

Daily Indian Stock Market Update

It was a very volatile trading day,Sensex went through lots of up's and down's.Initially the market opened cautiously, but gradually started to fall between 11:00 and 01:00 it had shed more than 130 points, later it slowly recovered from here on to touch a new high and also close at a new high of 12,513 up 51 points or 0.41%. BSE SmallCap again flared well today an gained 85 pints or 1.12% to close at 7,699.

The Global Markets are looking mixed this morning, Dow and Nasdaq were marginally up by 0.06% and 0.10%. Asian markets are also mixed SSE is up by 1.07%,Taiwan Index is down -0.34%,Nikkei is down by -0.25% and FTSE 100 (europe) is down by 0.40%.

Indian Stock Market - Evening Update (Monday)

Daily Indian Stock Market Update

Market had a good start at early trading hours and touched a new all time high of 12,511.Sensex started being Volatile and choppy, but started recovering in the last hour of the trade and closed with a jump of 102 points to close at 12,462 up 0.83%.BSE SmallCap flared up 1.12% and yet again rally was lead by Reliance Industries which closed at all time high of 1,155 up 5%.

The Global Markets are looking good this morning, On Friday Dow and Nasdaq were up by 1.12% and 0.80%. Asian markets are also good SSE is up by 3.05%,Taiwan Index is up 0.77% and FTSE 100 (europe) is up by 0.91%.
Indian Stock market has been very volatile in the last week but managed to close in green.

Market had a good start at early trading hours and touched an high of 12,443 at about 11:00 and then the same trend as yesterday was seen, Sensex started being Volatile and choppy and went down to 12,304 before closing the day at 12,359 up 12 points or 0.10%.

Daily Indian Stock Market Update

Market had a good start and it continued it's upward trend until 01:30, at one point Sensex touched an all time high of 12,482 and then the choppiness started from 01:30 and finally ended the day up 36 points or 0.30% at 12,347. The Banking sector continued it's run today, the BSE Banking Index (BSEBANKEX) was up +1.59% or 89 points to close at 5,716. BSEMidCap & SmallCap ended flat. The index today was primarily driven by RIL which gained 4.31% to close at 1080.

Indian Stock Market Rocks, the bull run continues

Indian Stock Market - Mid-Day Update
Sensex is presently (12:10 IST) trading at an all time high of 12,444 with a gain of 101 points.
BSE 100 is up by 67 points or 1.06% at 6,460
BSE Banking Indes is up 84 points or 1.5% at 5,711
The rally is primarly led by Reliance Industries which is up by 48 points or 5% at 1084
RIL is trading with huge volumes, earlier RIL announed that:
- It has submitted a proposal to enter city gas distribution in eight cities. Initial investments have been pegged at Rs 5000 crores and Chevron; Reliance's partner in RPL could team up for this venture as well
- RIL has got the go ahead from the Haryana government to set up the largest special economic zone in the country.

The Global Markets are mixed this morning, Dow and Nasdaq were marginally down by 0.14% and 0.25%. Asian markets are also mixed Han Seng is down by 0.19%,Taiwan Index is up 1.34% and FTSE 100 (europe) is down by 1.19%.
Indian Stock market had two good trading days, traders have to take caution during the early trading hours, yesterday there was some choppiness seen in the early hours of trading.

Indian Stock Market - Morning Update (Wednesday)

All the Global Markets are in green this morning, Dow is up 0.64%, Nasdaq up by 0.22%. Asian markets are also in green Nikkei is up 1.35%,Taiwan Index is up 0.67% and FTSE 100 (europe) is up by 0.98%.
After yesterdays mega bull run, Sensex is again on a upward move, presently it is up by 96 points at 12,314 and Nifty is up 28 points at 3,634.
