Choppy day in dalal street, manages to close up 7 points

Global Markets:
The Asian markets closed down today. Hang Seng closed down -0.35%, TSEC closed down -0.20%, Nikkei closed down -0.10% and Sensex closed up +0.07%.
The European market closed up +0.13%.

Indian Market:
With positive negative global cues coming in , Sensex opened in negative zone and was down at 10,738 but it soon recovered and jumped to days high of 10,777 , but could not sustain the gains and soon slipped in to negative zone, the rest of the trading was very choppy and touched days low of 10,645, untill 03:00 when the news came in that Fitch upgrading India's rating to investment grade which pulled back sensex in postitive zone to end the day at 10,751 up +7.78 or 0.07.


- BSE Metal slipped down -1.32%, BSE BANKEX dropped by -0.83%, BSE IT & Oil&Gas gained by +0.22% each , While BSE SmallCap closed down -0.36% and BSE MidCap closed down -0.47%.
- Out of the total 2491 stocks traded today 1299 declined, 1106 advanced and 86 were unchanged.
