Sensex closes above 12,000 , yet another milestone

Global Markets:
The Asian markets closed up today, except Nikkei. Hang Seng closed up +0.32%, TSEC closed up +1.25%, Nikkei closed down -0.47% and Sensex closed up +0.31%.
The European market is flat at +0.01%.

Indian Market:
The Sensex opened high at 11,978, but soon slipped into negative zone and touched says low of 11,848. Renewed buying at lower levels saw the index bounce back in to positive zone.
Agressive buying in select stocks saw the index surge past the 12,000-mark to touch a high of 12,042. The index finally settled with a gain of 37 points at 12,009.
