Sensex dropes by 62 points, IT and FMCG stocks slide

Global Markets:
The Asian markets closed down today. Hang Seng closed down -0.31%, Nikkei closed flat -0.01%, TSEC closed up +0.37% and Sensex closed down -0.51%.
The European market is up at +0.16%.

Indian Market:
The Sensex opened in a positive and soon touched days high of 12,274, from there on sensex was choppy and swinging few points. Profit booking in select counters in the last 30 mins of trading pulled down Sensex to finally close the day at 12,173.91 down -62 or -0.51%. The selling was seen in FMCG and IT stocks.

- Nifty closed at 3,523 down -20 or -0.58%.
- Bank Nifty moved up +0.31%,CNX IT dropped by -1.16% and CNX 100 dropped by -0.60%
- BSE FMCG dropped by -1.36%, BSE IT dropped by -1%,BSE TECk dropped by -0.75%.
- BSE MidCap slipped by -0.18% and BSE SmallCap lost by -0.04%.
