Sensex continues to loose, closes below 9000

Global Markets:
Most of the Asian and European markets closed in RED today, except for Nikkei and Taiwan Index.FTSE 100 closed down -15.80 or -0.29% at, Nikkei closed up +90.96 or +0.64% and Taiwan Index closed up +131.80 or +2.08%.

Indian Market:
Sensex started with a huge positive gap of 100 points and it continued the up trend with some good buying support, Sensex soon touched the day's high of 9,387. But as it has been happening selling started at higher levels and Sensex soon plunged in to the negative zone and hit the day's low of 8,799 and finally closed the day below 9K levels at 8,929 down -133.21 or -1.47.

Index Stocks:
Gainers:
HPCL gained +9%, Reliance Energy gained +3.39%, Tata Power gained +3.3%, Bajaj Auto Gained about +2%, Bharti Airtel gained +1.6% and ITC gained +1.16%.

Losers:
Infosys lost -5.8%, Tata Motors lost -4.8%, Tata Tea lost -8%, Hindalco & Dr Reddys lost abou -1.5% each.

Indices:
Among the BSE Indices BSE IT was the major loser which closed at 3,193.66 down -150.13 or -4.70, BSE Small & Medium Cap lost -3.5% each.
