Global Markets:
Most of the Asian and European markets closed in RED today .FTSE 100 closed down -138.90 or -2.47% at 5,482, Nikkei closed down -614.41 or -4.14% and Taiwan Index closed down -105.69 or -1.64%.
Indian Market:
Sensex started with a negative fall of 110 points and continued it's free fall, at one point Sensex went below the 9,000 mark and touched the day's low of 8,993 before closing the day at 9,062 down -413.50 or -4.36 .
All most all Blue chip stocks closed in RED, except SBI and ONGC
HDFC Bank lost -9%, Tata Steel lost -8.5%, Tata Power Lost -8% and BHEL lost -7.7%
Among the BSE Indices BSE Metal was the major loser which closed at 7,130.05 down -459.71 or -6.45 , BSE Small & Medium Cap lost -6% each.
