Hero Honda disappoints dalal street, Sensex down 70 points

Global Markets:
Most of the Asian markets closed in down today, except for Jakartha Index and SSE index which had gains of +0.31% and +0.66% respectively. Hang Seng closed down -0.68%, Nikkei closed down -0.51% and Sensex closed down -0.65%.
The european market closed down -0.37%.

Indian Market:
With almost weak global market cues, Sensex opened with a positive gap of 20 points and later touched the days high of 10,704 but soon slipped in to the negative zone, from here on Sensex was swinging partially in to positive zone and back in to negative zone, touched the days low of 10,566 before closing the day at 10,614 down -69.95 or -0.65 .

With Hero-Honda declaring it's Q1 results which were below market expectations and took heavy beatings, the stock closed down -6% to close at 720.

Cement stocks were firm , with all three majors ACC,Grasim & GujAmbuja having firm gains.


BSE HC (health care) moved up by +1%, BSE Auto dropped by -2.3% and BSE Metal lost -1.82%. BSE Small & Mid Cap closed marginally up at 0.45% & 0.20%.

Among the BSE Stocks Cipla surged up +3.18% to close at 220, GujAmbuja gained +2.42% to close at 105 and Satyam surged up +1.48% to close at 719.
Among losers Her Honda lost -6% to close at 720, Tata motors lost -3.52% to close at 756 and Hindalco dropped by -2.47% to close at 167.
